Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 03/18/2020

Dear Patients and Families:

As of March 16, 2020 the American Dental Association (ADA) has recommended dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) has endorsed the ADA recommendations. We remain open and are closely monitoring the developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Dadeland Oral Surgery is committed to the health and welfare of our patients, their families and our staff. We are doing our best to provide essential procedures for patients with active infection and/or pain as well as providing follow up care. Emergency patients will be seen on a case by case basis and a plan formulated for care.

Our office is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Dadeland Oral Surgery has always followed universal precautions prior to this outbreak and has strict sterilization procedures in accordance with the ADA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines.

All countertops and door handles are wiped for each patient as has been the protocol at Dadeland Oral Surgery. Instruments are all wrapped and sterilized for patient safety as well as third party monitoring by Mesa Labs (to confirm sterility assurance). Throughout the office you will find individual hand sanitizing areas.

If you or anyone in your home has a fever, flu like symptoms, and/or a cough we respectfully request that you stay home and reschedule your appointment. We have given the same instructions to our staff.

Sincerely,

Dadeland Oral Surgery
